Austin Data Storage, LLC specializes in providing online data backup services for businesses in the small to medium size range (<$1M to $250M), serving both central Texas and national markets. It maintains servers in two separate data centers for redundancy, with its administrative and technical support offices in Austin, TX.
Through March, 2006 the Company operated as a subsidiary of Austin Programmers Group, LLC before being spun off as a separate entity. The founders, Michael Steffano and Richard "RJ" Cowan, believed a significant market opportunity existed providing near enterprise level data backup and restore services at a price that small to medium businesses could afford.
Austin Data Storage now serves a coast-to-coast and local customer base covering diverse industries such as medical, legal, accounting, insurance, property management, real estate development, non-profit, educational, technology, commodities, event management, commercial construction, automotive, and oil & gas.
